- Hodgson Part 087, Rear Seal Plate
- Hodgson Part 090, Rear Seal Plate Spacers
I had some scrap Aluminum 7075-T6 left over from some other parts so I knocked off the corners until I could fit it into a collet. I then rough turned it down until is was round.
The rough-turned stock was then placed in a smaller collet and a 0.80″ long section was turned to 0.344″.
The 0.350″ diameter dimension given on the print sounds nice, but it’s not a standard size so the parts won’t fit nicely in a standard collet to face the backside. I recommend either going up to 9mm (0.354″) or down to 11/32″ (0.344″).
The clearance hole for the #6-32 SHCS was center-drilled and drilled to size.
The spacer was then sawn from the stock and the process repeated three more times.
Each spacer was then re-chucked in an 11/32″ collet and faced to 0.750″. This length will be checked and adjusted at assembly.
